Doctoral Study Program of Arabic Language Education at FITK UIN Sunan Kalijaga carried out the activity " Doctoral Study Program of Arabic Language Education did Curriculum Redesign Workshop held on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at 08.00-17.00 WIB which was held at the Sky Ballroom, Dafam Fortuna Grande Hotel Seturan, Yogyakarta. The event was opened by the Dean of FITK Prof. Dr. Hj Sri Sumarni, M.Pd., the speakers at the Redesign Workshop were Dr. Muhbib Abdul Wahab, M.A. (UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakartra), Dr. Sutaman, M.A. (UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang), also present were permanent lecturers of this study program and the students.

Both speakers said that this Workshop has a great contribution in updating the curriculum because the ideal curriculum can adapt to technological developments. The objectives of the national standard of higher education SN DIKTI need to be achieved by this Study Program to make the flow clearer. In addition, the curriculum must include graduate competencies, graduation standards and so on. KKNI level 9 for doctoral programs includes being able to develop new knowledge, technology or senin in their science or professional practice through research, to produce creative, original and tested work. Then able to solve problems of science, technology or art in their scientific field through developing research-based science and technology, solving science and technology problems, managing and leading research development.

In the second session of this workshop activity, the Head of this Study Program Dr. Hj. Umi Baroroh, M.Ag. continued the event with sharing and joint discussions related to this Study Program Curriculum Book Revision Commission Session. This is to improve the study program curriculum on all input from the speakers, both related to quality assurance which must refer to the Minister of Education and Culture Regulation (Permendikbud). This Study Program curriculum is certainly Holistic Integrative-Interconnective UIN so that the direction of the development of the Curriculum which ideally is already tandzir (ibda' nadzoriyyah jadidah), because tathwir is a master and tamhir is for undergraduates. Hopefully with the implementation of this curriculum redesign workshop activity, this doctoral Study Program at our faculty UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta will be able to become superior and leading.
